OUR COMPANY

Founded in 1896, we are now a fifth-generation, family-owned and operated local hardware store rich in history. We are committed to being "the Helpful Place" by offering our customers knowledgeable advice, helpful service and quality products.

Hours: Stores are typically Monday to Friday: 08:00am to 08:00pm, Saturday: 08:00am to 06:00pm and Sunday: 08:00am to 06:00pm.  Some holidays have shortened hours and we are closed New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas day

Age Eligibility: Candidates must be 16+ years old or have valid work permit

Presence: Whitmore Ace hardware currently operates 9 stores Will, Kankakee and Grundy Counties.  We are always looking to expand and provide growth opportunities for our associates

 

Services: Whitmore Ace Hardware offers a wide range of products and services for our customers.  Top departments include lawn care, paint, Water Street boutique,  Work Wear, electrical, plumbing, tools, home improvement and hardware products to its shoppers. The company also provides some additional services like instruction classes and repairs for many needs around the home.

 

Community Initiatives: Whitmore Ace Hardware works closely with local community organizations with fundraising initiatives.  In 2018 we raised 83,464.05 for Lurie’s Children’s Hospital and look to increase that amount each year.
