Manhattan, IL : Part Time Sales Associate - 20-25 hours/week. Must be available days, nights and weekends.
Braidwood, IL : Full time Sales Cashier- 30+ hours/week. Must be available days, nights and weekends.
Sales Associate
Summary/Objective
Sales Associates work as part of a team to offer outstanding customer service, provide a unique shopping experience for our customers, keeping the selling floor clean, organized and stocked with merchandise and ready for sales events.
Essential Functions

Greeting and Assisting and making a connection with customers

Use the S.A.L.E.S process to help all customers

Provide in store services (paint, key, glass, screen, pipe, pool, propane, etc.)

Maintain the store and aisle using shelf conditioning standards

Perform open and close procedures to ensure store is ready for operation

Assist all personnel in their job functions

Help maintain accurate inventory throughout the store

Make product recommendations based on customers’ needs

Participate in ongoing product and job knowledge and customer service skills training

Physical Demands
The employee will be required to, stand, lift, walk a majority of the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. The employee should have no lift restrictions.

Cashier Associate
Summary/Objective
Primary role of a Cahier includes scanning merchandise, applying discounts, processing payments, and handling returns. Cashiers also take responsibility for being the first and last impression for customers and must provide a pleasant greeting, answering questions about merchandise, store policies, ongoing promotions, and thanking each customer as they leave.
Essential Functions

Greeting and directing customers to sales associates

Answering phones, over the phone questions, and directing calls

Handling sale, return transactions, and general operation of register

Ask customers to use their Ace Rewards card and sign up new members

Suggestive sell monthly specials

Routine maintenance of impulse and checkout area

Help maintain an accurate inventory by scanning every item
